Game Collections and Homepage Showcase

This release introduces curated game collections and a new homepage showcase, making it easier to discover titles through themes, timelines, and featured content. Update articles, search, typography, and Chinese input have also been improved.

Game Collections and Homepage Showcase

This release introduces two new ways to discover games on GoFurry: Game Collections and the Homepage Showcase.

Game Collections

Collections are more than groups of games sharing the same tag. They are curated around themes, content, and relationships between titles.

Each collection can have its own theme and game list, along with a development timeline based on when titles first became available and their release information.

You can now:

  • Browse curated game collections
  • Search collections and the games inside them
  • Filter by release stage, including released and upcoming titles
  • Change sorting and load more results
  • Follow how a theme has developed over time

Timeline cards also include useful details such as tags, GoFurry ratings, recently observed player counts, and available community links.

Homepage Showcase

The Games homepage now includes a new Showcase.

It can highlight current events, selected titles, special topics, and other content worth discovering, giving interesting games and collections a more visible place on the homepage.

Desktop users will also find quick links to selected collections, along with an entry for browsing all collections.

A New Update Experience

The update article you are reading is also part of this release.

GoFurry updates now support separate Chinese and English titles, summaries, and Markdown content, with dedicated article pages and a browsable update history.

Giveaways and prize information now support bilingual content as well.

Smaller Experience Improvements

This release also introduces more consistent Chinese and English typography and improves search suggestions. Suggestions are now provided through DuckDuckGo, while your final search engine — Bing, Google, or another option — remains your choice.

Several everyday issues have also been fixed, including Chinese IME input triggering searches too early, homepage modules failing to recover after a timeout, image flickering when switching showcase content, and inaccurate player-count presentation.

v3.0.0-alpha.11 continues moving the Games section from simply “listing more games” toward organizing them in better ways and making them easier to discover.

We hope that visiting GoFurry can become more than searching for a game you already know — a collection, a timeline, or a recommendation might lead you to something completely new.
