Stability and Long-Term Maintenance Improvements
This is the final release of the GoFurry V2 stage. The update focuses on database, deployment, service health, security, and maintenance foundations in preparation for V3.
Stability and Long-Term Maintenance Improvements
This release marks the final version of the GoFurry V2 stage.
Rather than adding many new pages or features, we spent more time improving the foundations behind the website so future development can continue on a clearer and more reliable base.
Major improvements include:
- Reorganized database structure and update workflows
- Improved service startup, deployment, and maintenance
- Better service health and availability checks
- Stronger security and pre-release validation
- Cleanup of older code, tools, and unused dependencies
- Improved open-source collaboration and maintenance guidelines
Most of these changes are not directly visible on the website, and existing navigation, Games, and Site Detail features continue to work in the same way.
However, this cleanup is important for GoFurry. As the project grows, its internal structure also needs to evolve so future development is not slowed down by earlier technical debt.
With this release, the main development of V2 comes to a close.
Future updates will gradually move into V3, with a stronger focus on data capabilities, content discovery, and resource insights.
